Digital Illustration – Ink
My illustration work blends traditional and digital approaches, with a strong emphasis on detail and the human form. I specialize in pencil and ink drawing, bringing expressive linework and careful observation into every piece.
Using Clip Studio Paint as my primary digital tool for illustrating, I translate these traditional techniques into polished, versatile artworks. My process often begins with hand-drawn sketches, which I refine digitally to achieve both precision and depth. I then import them work into Photoshop for any post production they need.
Whether exploring anatomy studies, character concepts, or narrative scenes, my goal is to capture the subtleties of gesture, emotion, and structure. Each illustration reflects a balance between technical accuracy and artistic interpretation, creating work that feels both grounded and imaginative.
Print Layout – Illustration – Visual Design
From dragons to griffons, this project explores the real-world roots and cultural theories behind some of history’s most iconic mythical creatures.
The book is filled with detailed, full-color illustrations that capture not only their familiar features, but also the many ways these beings have been imagined across different times and cultures.
As both illustrator and researcher, I traced their evolution from ancient folklore to modern fantasy, highlighting the space where history and imagination meet.
Created for anyone interested in mythology, history, or art, the work offers a visual and narrative journey into the world of legendary beasts.
Though not formally published, the project became an important exercise in combining research with illustration. It strengthened my skills in digital painting (Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop) and layout design (InDesign), while teaching me how to turn complex cultural research into accessible visual storytelling. It continues to shape my approach to myth-inspired artwork and remains a key piece in my portfolio for showing both process and versatility.
Visual Design – Marketing
Thank You Card
Created a heartfelt donor card featuring a collage of adoptable dogs and cats, paired with a mission statement on the back and a personalized thank-you message inside. The design emphasized warmth and gratitude while reinforcing the organization’s identity.
Virtual Adoption Event Advertisement
Developed a promotional piece incorporating a QR code for donations and recognition of grant sponsors. The layout balanced accessibility with clear calls to action, driving participation in the event.
Informational Flyer
Designed a front-and-back flyer highlighting the rescue’s mission, adoption process, and ways to support. The flyer served as a versatile tool for outreach, ensuring potential supporters had essential information at a glance.
Comic Design & Illustration — Print + Digital Vertical Format
I designed and laid out this comic for dual functionality: traditional print and a seamless vertical scrolling digital experience. The cover illustration was a particular highlight, where I applied a controlled monochromatic palette to create visual hierarchy. Limited color allowed key panels to punctuate the narrative with intentional emphasis, guiding the reader’s eye and reinforcing emotional beats.
Design Focus
I optimized pacing and panel structure so the work reads intuitively both on page and on screen. The monochromatic palette was chosen to direct attention to key narrative moments without overwhelming the visual flow. Visual hierarchy and clarity were central throughout, ensuring important illustrations stand out while maintaining a clean composition. Careful use of negative space supported narrative rhythm and character-driven dialogue.
Story Summary
Xeno, a teenage robot, awakens to a world overwhelmed by AI-generated noise. Suffering from the constant drone, she decides to address the situation diplomatically and civilly.
Team management – Print Layout – Project Management
This handbook was developed for Tuckahoe Recreation Club to consolidate all essential operational information in one place, ensuring staff had immediate access to the procedures and expectations required for daily success. This document was created as a team effort, with me as the lead designer.
Design Approach
The guiding goal was efficiency. The layout uses clear visual breaks between topics, enabling quick reference during fast-paced shifts. The compact size (4.25" x 6.75") was intentionally chosen to fit easily into a pocket, drawer, or bag so employees could keep it with them rather than treat it as a bulky manual that would be set aside. The page layout was designed to easily translate to a digital format to reduce paper costs for on-boarding during off seasons, where print versions were not available.
Cover Design
The cover features photography of the club’s main outdoor pool, edited in Photoshop to create a clean, high-contrast image that reflects the identity of the space. The design choice reinforces familiarity and pride in the workplace, inviting staff to feel connected to the environment they support.
Goals and Impact
The handbook improved day-to-day consistency by giving staff a single, reliable reference rather than scattered documents or verbal instructions. Its clarity and portability reduced onboarding time, minimized procedural confusion, and contributed to a more self-sufficient team. Overall, the project unified information, strengthened communication, and supported smoother operations across departments.
